Sometimes it helps to remember who I am. I am chosen by the love of God, not worthy but graced to be in His family. I am saved by the mercy of God, paid for by the precious blood of Christ. I am called by the purpose of God, predestined to become more and more like Him. I am equipped by the Holy Spirit of God, gifted with the tools needed to serve Him. I am kept by the grace of God, firmly grounded in the foundation of truth in His Word. Chosen, Saved, Called, Equipped, Kept by the omnipotent, holy God. The identity of every child of God.
Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
II Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [a]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
I Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
