Fog

In the twilight of winter,
silent fog woos the day to sleep.
Gauzy tendrils drape car lights and streetlamps,
making dandelions in the deepening quiet.
Night and fog collide,
moisture muffling sound.
God tucks this silent, gray blanket over Earth.
and whispers, “Good Night”.
