The words in Psalm 61 always grip my heart. I am thankful that God is my Rock, that He is so much more than I am, that He is my Shelter and my Strong Tower.
Today, I can walk unafraid because of Who He is.
When my heart is overwhelmed,
and my strength can’t carry me,
When the darkness presses down,
and Your light my eyes can’t see
Lord, I lift my heart to You
Reaching for Your mighty hand.
You are mercy; You are truth.
In Your grace I stand.
All Your mercies never fail.
And Your strength is always new.
Every morning You reveal
Love wrapped in the gift of You.
I can’t seem to understand
How You meet my every need.
You are mercy; You are grace.
You are every breath I breathe.
Lord, hide me in the Rock much higher than I.
Oh, Rock of Ages, broken for me.
Lord, hide me in the Rock much higher than I.
Sweet Rock of Ages, broken for me.
You are holy Lord, the mighty tower.
You are grace and truth, righteous in Your power.
You’re my Rock of Strength,
Mercy free and true,
Lord, I hide in You.
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
