I love starting a new journal. Blank pages beckon with potential and promise. They invite me to spend time with my Father and to fellowship with Him.
This day, today, is no different.
It spans before me as hours and minutes to be filled. The potential for joy and fellowship is real, and each moment I decide whether to record hurt or forgiveness,
gladness or grumbling,
thankfulness or complaint,
beauty or despair.
Today’s page holds many lines. I can allow others to dictate how they are filled, or I can choose to write on them the blessings of my Father.
Today’s journal is not about the trials and difficulties I will face. Instead, it records how, through the grace and strength of my Lord, I respond to them.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Exodus 32:39 For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the Lord, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.
I love how the focus of your journal will be how you respond to trials, not on the trials themselves. Focusing on Christ – what a joy!

I love your perspective of a new journal. Almost like getting to know a new friend.

I like that. I think my journal probably is my friend.
