God built change into the very DNA of creation.
Today, I feel it in the slight cooling of the morning air. I see it in the pastel colors of the sky that brightens a little later each day. I notice the sprinkles of color that dot the trees along my walk, and pumpkins are making their appearance on neighbors’ porches.
A new season announces its arrival!
After the flood, God made a promise to Noah:
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22
God has kept His promise, demonstrating that He is faithful and true to His word.
So, when I spot a red leaf on my sidewalk or enjoy the cool morning air, I say “Thank You!”
Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness.
Thank You for the beauty You continually renew before me.
Thank You, that Fall follows the heat of summer.
Thank You for the constancy of the life cycles you created.
Thank You for keeping me through all the seasons of this life.
Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness.
You are good, Father. You are very good!
Psalm 104:19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down. 20 You make darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
Acts 14:17 Nevertheless He left not Himself without witness, in that He did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness
