How do I know about the cross?
The Bible tells me so.
How do I know about Jesus?
The Bible tells me so.
How do I know about His love and His willingness to forgive?
The Bible tells me so.
There is a theme here, repeated through the ages. The Bible is God’s message to mankind, so if I want to know the truth….
the Bible tells me so.
Read it. Learn it. Obey it. Share it. Depend on it. For the Bible tells me so.
II Timothy 3: 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I have blogged extensively on the reliability of the Bible. It has never been shown to have a historical error, and the only prophecies that have not come true are still in the future.

Tried and true, there is no problem with its reliability. The only struggle is with our reading and obeying.

Amen to THAT! If we all lived what we know of the Bible, it would be a different world! Have mercy on us, Father. 😔
