Following His Way

There’s a sweetness in His presence
as I walk with Him each day.
There is calmness and assurance
when I trust Him and obey.

For though His way is narrow
and the hills can be quite steep,
I walk confidently forward
when I’m following His feet.

There are times that I may wander,
following my stubborn way;
Then I stumble over worry
under lowering skies of gray.

Soon my fears seem overwhelming
as I fight through briars of sin,
and my heart combats the agony
of loneliness within.

Until I cry out to Jesus
asking for His perfect will;
Then He lifts me up and places me
where my heart can be still.

Along His path He leads me,
and I share His joyous day,
for I know that blessing follows
when I trust Him and obey.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

I John 1:This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

    Trust and obey,
    For there’s no other way,
    To be perfect in Jesus, than to trust and obey.

    The words of this hymn are a good summary.

    Beautiful lilies ! 🤗⚘

      This came as I was studying the relationship between trusting and obedience. I posted the hymn last week. It has been a favorite in my life. Trust and obey…..a full time occupation! The lilies outdid themselves this year😊😊.
