I have needed this reminder recently. I thought you might need it, too.
Does the sun refuse to bring the morning in just because the world is filled with grief and sin? Does the candle’s glow diminish in the night; can the darkness that surrounds exhaust its light? Or does the shine overcome making blackness scatter in the brightness of its glow? Light wins! Will I refuse to let His light shine from my heart in the darkness of this time? Can I allow the night to overwhelm when Jesus, Himself, is at the helm? Or will I open my life, pouring out His love to penetrate the dark? Light wins Light wins, no matter how dark the night has been. Light wins regardless of the blackness of the sin. When I’m threatened by defeat, I will let my heart repeat – Because God is still God, Light wins!
May you be graced with God’s light in your life today.
II Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Great reminder. Thank you.
