Created to Worship

God has poured Himself into creation.  There is no part that is haphazard or forgotten.  Each bird, each beast, each tree, each herb, all carefully planned and sustained.

Man was created for the joy of God, and God planned creation to delight and sustain man.  The light, the plants, the animals, and the sea all know their place and their dependence on the great Creator.  The waves swell in majestic choruses of praise.  The trees bow in worship as breezes sing through their branches.  Raindrops fall in rhythm with His heart, and the rainbow dazzles us with His promise of care.

Only man forgets who God is.  The birds and flowers do not forget. The fish in the sea and the stars in the sky do not forget. Only we challenge God’s authority. Only we shake our fists in the face of Heaven.

Our disobedience and rejection are the discords in a world that was designed to blaze with the very glory of God.

But we can not stop God!

We have His word that His glory will endure forever.

So, I will tune my heart to sing to Him.  When I hear the song of the morning birds, I will join them in praise.

I will lift my eyes to His creation, and I will thank Him as I meditate on His goodness.

I will be glad in the Lord!

Psalm 104:24 O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all.
The earth is full of Your possessions— 25 This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things,
Living things both small and great.

Psalm 104:33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34 May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the Lord.
