One of Satan’s biggest lies is that loving God brings sorrow.
A life that is aligned with God’s plan is a life of great blessing and joy. Knowing who we are in relation to Him allows for a proper perspective on this life.
Trials will come, but they cannot extinguish the security found in a relationship with the Creator of the universe.
We are safe in the care of the Good Shepherd.
Everlasting mercy from the Father’s throne
Showered down on me to say I am His own.
How can I not love Him?
How can I not praise?
How can I not serve with gladness all my days?
Glorious salvation making me His child
Purchased by the agony of Christ, defiled.
I cannot comprehend this
Love the Father gives,
But I know He’s cleansed me,
And I know He lives!
I Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls

That’s what knowing Him brings! (We have a huge lilac bush in our front yard in Maine.)
