I saw the morning star today.

Up early, I walked out on the porch, looked up, and there it was – bright before the sunrise, steady in its beam. Morning star.

In Revelation 22, Jesus calls Himself the bright and morning star:

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Every time I see this wonder at sunrise, I remember

He is the Light.

He is coming again.

He will take me home.

Thank You, Jesus, for being the Bright and Morning Star in this dark world. Thank You, Jesus, for bringing Light to my life. Thank You, Jesus, for You!

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

II Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
