“In the beginning, God created….” Genesis 1:1
No matter how mankind attempts to remove God from creation, he cannot.
God is in the very DNA of each living thing, the cell structures of each plant, the miniscule particles of each rock and each drop of water. Each one bears the fingerprints of His creative work.
Each time we say ‘Earth’, we are using the name that God assigned to this planet (Genesis 1:10). When we refer to Heaven and Seas and Day and Night, we are speaking the language that God used in Creation (Genesis 1).
When our hearts hurt, or when we acknowledge beauty, or thrill at the sight of a glorious sunset, we are reflecting the image of God, stamped upon our beings.
God is the Creator – the beginning of all that is good and beautiful and gracious and filled with light.
Satan may offer counterfeits, but they will not last. He may attack God’s position and power and honor, but he will not overcome. He may sway the hearts of men toward darkness, but he cannot extinguish the light of God – the Cross and the Resurrection proved that.
God is Creator, and we are the created. We will only find rest and peace when we yield to His sovereign authority on our lives.
Father, I yield my heart and my will to You. Mold me into a vessel of honor for You.
Isaiah 40:28 – Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
1 Peter 4:19 – Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
