In church today we sang the old hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness”. What a timely reminder to my heart in these days of uncertainty and change.
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be. Summer and winter and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above, Join with all nature in manifold witness To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me. Thomas O. Chisholm, 1923
Father, Settle my heart in this truth today.
Isaiah 25:1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
II Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

This was one of my all time favourite hymns to sing in church growing up

Mine as well! I didn’t learn it until my teenage years, but it made a strong impression on me. Now I know it through experience!
