I looked and saw the failure of mankind.
I counted every trouble and mishap.
So focused on the problems, I despaired –
overcome with hopelessness and fear.
Then I looked to Jesus,
Who gave me eyes of love.
Where I saw failure, He showed me opportunity.
In every trouble, He revealed a ministry.
And as I faced the problems – the many, many problems –
He let me see through His lens of Truth
to see hope.
When I look through the eyes of Jesus, I look through eyes of love.
With that perspective, I can make a difference.
Jude 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
