Luke 12:⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? ⁷ But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

When life’s sorrows roll over my soul,
and my heart trembles.

When confusion reigns in all I see,
and truth is hidden.

I will look to my King!

Though enemies surround,
and trouble threatens.

Though scorn and derision
color every word I hear.

I will not forget my King!

When the ranting of the restless
encourage unease.

When I am bound by brokenness
and frazzled by fear,

I will remember my King,

for I know
my King has not forgotten me!
