Restless, mankind ever seething,
Seeking power to have control,
Striking out against the Master
Who alone redeems the soul.
Through the ages kings have crumbled
As they shook their fists at Him,
Always thinking they could conquer;
Relishing the depths of sin.
Violently, the battle rages
As the end of time draws near.
Satan’s army always grasping
To pull souls into his lair.
But the Master, Overcomer,
Still commands the battle strong.
He has crowned His Son in honor;
He will sing the victor’s song.
Give your hearts to Him, oh people.
Fear this One Who is the Lord.
Place your trust in His redemption,
Leaning wholly on His Word.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
