Easy to become jaded
and sarcastic –
guarding and protecting self.
Easy to build walls to hide behind
rather than bridges to connect.
Easy to criticize, to assume the worst
and tear down.
Easy to jump to a conclusion
and react without understanding.
Easy to pretend.
Love, though, reaches out,
opening oneself to become vulnerable
and real.
Love shares. Love gives.
Love builds and restores.
Love seeks the good, the right, the pure.
In the end,
love triumphs!
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
I Corinthians 3:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Father,
Today, let my thoughts be centered on the love You have given, and let my words and actions speak love.

Hopefully we will remember the valuable gifts of love and kindness and really our strengths on which we survive.

I’m glad that though Love seems weak, it is really strong and powerful, and Love does not take “No” for an answer. Love doesn’t give up.
I like the picture–sometimes nature shows a part of God’s grandeur, and that picture does. Thanks.
