I am your strength and shield, your help in time of need.
I am your Bread of Life; My Spirit intercedes
As you wrestle with the forces that threaten you,
And struggle just to make it through each day.

The cry of your soul to My heart.

If you will wait on Me, I’ll give your spirit wings
To rise above the crush that life in this world brings.
You can run the race without soul-numbing weariness.
You can walk the desert without growing faint.
My love will bear you up on wings like eagles,
And you will go on in My strength.

Be still.  Be still,
And rest in the glory of My presence.
Be still. Be still,
And draw your strength from My heart.
Your determination won’t see you through.
The journey is too much for you to do.
So, be still. Be still,
And know that I am God.

Isaiah 40: ³¹ But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Deuteronomy 32: ¹¹ As an eagle stirs up her nest, flutters over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them, bears them on her wings:  ¹² So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

I Kings 19: ⁷ And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

Psalm 46:10 – Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

II Corinthians 12:⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. ⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
