A Good Word

I Peter 1:1-6

Peter wrote a message of hope and security to the Christians who were scattered throughout the known world.

Read it for yourself, because it is written to us as well.

Here is my take on the first six verses:

You have been persecuted and scattered throughout the world.
You are strangers here.
But
you are chosen by God,
cleansed by the shed blood of Jesus Christ,
born again into a new life of resurrection and hope,
awarded an incorruptible inheritance, and
kept by the power of God.

Chosen
Cleansed
Born Again
Awarded
Kept

That is enough to get us through the trials of this life.

I Peter 2:9  But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Today is a good day to show out for God!
