When the quilt of life unfolds
and I can’t understand the intricacies and patterns
of the Father’s plan,
He calls me to look beyond the circumstances I face
and live with confidence,
because I know
God is grace.
When the night of confusion falls
and my heart gropes to find and comprehend
the path of right,
He calls me to look beyond the blinding gloom
of this present darkness
and grasp that
God is light.
When the earthquake of sorrow shakes
the foundation of my soul
and this world provides no shelter of relief,
He calls me by the steadfastness of His character
and the surety of His promises
to experience –
God is peace.
Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
I Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Sometimes our life quilt looks like the dog got it and made a mess but God always find away to smooth and straighten that quilt so that we may again lay in peace.
