Anticipation –
The calling of my heart to
that which lies beyond me;
Eternal shores that beckon
saying there is more to come.

Anticipation –
The subtle distant feeling –
not quite sorrow, not quite joy –
but a knowing in my heart
that I am not yet home.

Anticipation –
Looking forward to a moment
yet unknown in all I know;
reaching, ever reaching toward
the Lover of my soul.

I Corinthians 2:⁹ But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
