Into the darkness came The Light

wrapped in the clothes of a child.

Into the hatred love was born

held by a virgin, mild.

Peace, goodwill from the mighty God

proclaimed to a world awry.

Grace and mercy, joy and hope

all heard in a Baby’s cry.

John 1:¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
