Read John 11

When Jesus looked at Martha in the face of Lazarus’ death, He said

“I am the resurrection and the life; he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26.

He was asking her to let go of what she could see and feel.

He was asking her to release her limited knowledge into the reality of the limitless knowledge of God.

In the face of life’s greatest sorrow and crisis, He wanted her to see beyond the temporal and the logical to Who God really is.

He asks the same of me.
