Rescued

Scarlet, my sins were like a river
Flowing dark and swift forever,
Pulling me underneath the water
Covering the breath of life.
Drowning, I could swim no longer.
Fading, I slipped slowly under.
Struggling, I wish I could be stronger.
Grasping, I reached for You.

And You pulled me up out of the darkest grave.
You gave Your life so I could be saved.
You washed me whiter than snow
So Your love I could know.

Laughing, I caught Life’s sweetest breath.
Breathing, saved from certain death.
Living ransomed and set free.
Awestruck because of You.

For You pulled me up out of the darkest grave.
You gave Your life so I could be saved.
You washed me whiter than snow
So Your love I could know.

Isaiah 1:18 – Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
