Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.  ¹² O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusts in thee.

Crowned with glory; crowned with honor.
Sun and Shield in my dark night.
You, alone, dispel the darkness.
You, alone, provide my light.

As the sun has drawn the planets,
So my soul is drawn to You.
As its dawning scatters darkness,
Your grace has my heart renewed.

Shield upon my head in summer.
Cover in the winter’s rain.
Ever giving strength and comfort.
Ever granting grace in pain.

All my heart cries for Your nearness.
All I am clings to Your hand.
Knowing strength lies in Your presence,
In Your love my heart will stand.
