You have called me righteous, though righteous I can’t be.
You have named me child of God and sealed my destiny.
I still can’t help but wonder;
I can’t help but be amazed –
That you loved me and fashioned me
A trophy of Your grace.
Your eyes see in me all You created me to be.
You see past my guilt and shame to save eternally.
My sinful scars don’t frighten You;
My cares You understand –
Loving me in spite of them,
Giving me strength to stand.
I bring You my brokenness, but You see priceless worth.
I give You my sinful scars, and You give me new birth.
I see my limitations; You offer endless grace,
So my wounded heart can be made new.
